Born in Upper Canada, daughter of Parshall and Hannah Terry. Family data; marriage at the age of seventeen to George Tarbox; their conversion in 1837; subsequent move to Far West, Missouri; hisband's death in 1838 due to sickness, cold, and exposure following mob persecutions; marriage to George Young around 1840; persecutions in Illinois; preparation to head west with the Mormons; sickness and death of her second husband in 1846; efforts to support her two children, resulting in her sickness and death at Winter Quarters, Nebraska; emigration west of her children, Elisha Terry Tarbox and Emma Amanda Young; removal of Elisha to California; marriage of Emma Amanda Young to Parshall Adam Terry.
